Privacy Policy

Workout to Garmin ("the Service") is a Chrome extension and accompanying web service that converts user-written workout descriptions into structured workouts in Garmin Connect. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, your Google account ID (an opaque identifier), and your display name. We store these to identify your account and enforce usage limits.
Workout text you submit. The free-form workout description you type in the extension is sent to our backend, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude language model for parsing. The text is processed in memory to generate a structured workout and is not stored on our servers.
Usage counters. We store the number of workouts you have generated in the current calendar month, so we can enforce the free-tier limit and bill paying subscribers correctly.
Billing data. If you subscribe to the Pro plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We store Stripe's customer ID and subscription ID, plus your current plan ("free" or "pro"). We do not store any card data.

What we do NOT collect

The contents of your Garmin Connect account, workout history, activities, or device data. The extension acts entirely on Garmin Connect pages you have opened in your own browser; it does not read or transmit any Garmin data to our servers.

Third parties we share data with

Anthropic — processes workout descriptions to produce structured workouts. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
Google — provides authentication. Their privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Stripe — processes payments for Pro subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

How long we keep data

Account information and usage counters are retained for as long as your account exists. Subscription records are retained as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 5-7 years in the EU). Workout text is not retained.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will remove your user record, usage counters, and (where possible) historical billing records within 30 days.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where possible, notify active users by email.
